Governance & Administration

NUSOJ is a democratic union founded and governed by its member journalists. Oversight involves a Supreme Council responsible for shaping general policies between General Assemblies and an Executive Committee managing the union's administration. Policies, objectives and work programs are determined at the General Assembly, held once every three years. Six branches of the union send delegates to the General Assembly in proportion to their membership size. The National Secretariat implements policies and programs developed by elected members.

Inclusivity: NUSOJ embraces inclusiveness, uniting around the common goal of media freedom, viewing differences as strengths and opportunities for learning and growth. The union unequivocally opposes all forms of discrimination and prejudice based on gender, tribe/clan, age, or disability.
